With the state volleyball tournament in the books, the 1A High Desert League released their listing of all-league as voted upon by the coaches. To the surprise of none, the state champion Crane Mustangs lead the honorees with six players named to the listing. Prairie City/Burnt River has five players listed with Adrian following up with four players. Three of the other Mustangs belonging to Jordan Valley made the list and Harper named one player to all league.

First team honorees were spread between the top three teams in the league standings. Crane senior Kortney Doman and Adrian junior Addy Martin were unanimous vote receivers with Doman receiving Player of the Year honors. Mustang freshman Kaitlyn Siegner picked up first team in her first year on the court while Panther senior Brooke Teel finished her career with first team honors. Also in her final year, Adrian senior Presley Speelmon will depart the court as a first team honoree while Panther Reece Jacobs will be back next season with first team honors.

The second team includes three seniors, Adrian’s Rylee Ready, Prairie City/Burnt River’s Jaycee Winegar and Adrian’s Lucy Martin joined by juniors Prairie City/Burnt River’s Skylar McKay and Jordan Valley’s Kenzie Tuttle. In bad news for the rest of the league, two Crane freshman, Taya Nelson and Kendall Nichols, also were named to second team.

Picking up honorable mention is all underclassmen and includes Jordan Valley junior Meg Eiguren and sophomore Jalee Maestrejuan, Prairie City/Burnt River junior Savannah Watterson, Crane freshman Anita Peila and Harper freshman Lindsay Talbot.
