Coming off a 1A state basketball title, the Crane boys’ basketball team ruled the listing of the Oregon Basketball Coaches Association’s choices for the 1A All-State Awards.
Crane coach Eric Nichols was named Coach of the Year and was joined by Carter Nichols as the unanimous choice for Player of the Year.
The awards continued for the Mustangs with Cody Siegner picking up first team honors, joined by Josh Zander on second team. Joah Friedrichsen picked up honorable mention.
For the Golden Eagles, Nixyaawii’s Baron Moses was placed on the first team listing and was joined by teammate Symon Picard on third team.
Adding to honors from the Old Oregon League, Union’s Tee Ledbetter was also a first team honoree and Imbler’s Justin Frost was named to second team.
The honorable mention list also included Dufur’s JJ Johnston, Cove’s Wyatt Burgess and Adrian’s Rance Jordan.
