ECHO – The La Grande girls wrestling team departed Echo with seven individual medals, winning the team title at the Oregon Trail County Championships on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Scoring 281.5 points, the Tigers finished well ahead of second place Riverside’s total of 98 points and the remainder of the field.
La Grande saw titles from Carleigh Radke (105), Rhiley Lees (115), Lyndie Isaacson (125), Emmelie Livingston (135), Paige Allen (145), Lainey Wolfe (170) and Maddie Armstrong(190).
Breaking up the run by La Grande, Grant Union’s Zoey Beam (120) remains perfect on the year. Also for the Prospectors, Mallory Lusco (235) took a championship and remains perfect for her senior year.
Echo sophomore Averi Fisher (130) kept the home fans happy with a title and is now 3-0 on the season.
Riverside senior Katelyn Wiseman (140) upped her season record to 2-0 with an individual title. Also a senior, Imbler’s Lucy Camacho (155) remains without a loss for the year.
