VALEVale junior Tyler Richardson already has two state wrestling titles. However, her wrestling success goes well beyond the state’s borders and is receiving national recognition.

Team USA recently released the National Girls High School Rankings on May 28. The rankings are compiled by representatives of USA Wrestling, FloWrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.

Wrestling in the 138-pound class, Richardson is currently ranked 11th in the nation. Surprisingly, her chance to surge upward in the rankings may be just across the river as Caldwell, Idaho’s Marissa Jimenez holds the fourth-place ranking in the same division. The January rankings of the same organization failed to mention Richardson, though Oregon not having a regular season hindered the individual rankings.
