Jamieson Produce is an onion packing shed located in Vale, Oregon that packs and ships onions across the United States 12 months of the year. It has been in operation for nearly 40 years and currently employees about 50 people. Over the years our business has grown and to date we pack and ship over 100 million pounds of onions each year. We appreciate the quality onions our growers provide and the hard work our employees do every day. Jamieson Produce is owned by Doug and Terrie Maag and managed by Jeff Stubbs.
Y-1 Farms is located in Jamieson, Oregon and is owned by Doug and Terrie Maag and Corey and Mandi Maag. Various row crops such as onions, sugar beets, silage corn, alfalfa, and wheat are grown on nearly 2000 acres. The feed crops are used to provide feed for the feedlot they operate. Up to 12,000 head of cattle can be fed at Y-1 Farms. Y-1 Farms was established in 1985 but the Maag Family was farming before that. Doug farmed with his father, Warner Maag, for several years prior before purchasing his own farm. Y-1 Farms employs about 20 full-time employees to assist in operating the farm. We are extremely grateful for our employees and the hard work they provide.

CRESWELL – After wrapping up Eastern Oregon tournament play as runner-up to Burns, the Vale volleyball team opens up state tournament play as the 19th seed on Wednesday, Oct. 30 with a trip to Creswell.
The host Bulldogs welcome the Vikings as the 14th seed in the tournament after finishing third in the 3A Mountain Valley Conference. Creswell wrapped up the regular season with a 13-10 overall record while Vale closed out the year with a 15-11 finish.
Playing in the same conference as the state’s top ranked Pleasant Hill, Creswell and Sisters finished with identical 7-3 conference records. The two teams split during the regular season matches before Sisters took a 3-0 victory in the conference playoffs. Due to the loss, the Bulldogs made the state tournament with one of the three at-large qualifications given out by the OSAA.
Creswell is no stranger to the state playoffs as last year saw the Bulldogs make the trip to Springfield where Pleasant Hill bounced the team out of the quarterfinals. Moving to the consolation bracket, the Bulldogs fell to Cascade Christian.
This year’s squad has only a lone senior and four juniors taking the court versus Vale. Much like the Vikings, youth is abundant with four sophomores and two freshmen playing varsity.
