VALE – In the long and storied history of Vale basketball this has never occurred. On Saturday, Feb. 24, the Vikings will host two 3A state playoff games.
The Vale girls will start the action at 4 p.m. hosting Sisters. The Vikings come in as the fourth seed while Sisters makes the trip to Vale as the 20th seed.
The Viking boys see a familiar foe starting at 6 p.m. as Burns is back in Vale. Like the girls, the Vale boys are seeded fourth in the 3A while the Hilanders come in with the 13th seed.
This is an OSAA event, so ticket prices are $10 for adults and $6 for students. No passes are accepted with the exception of OACA Gold Cards.
However, one ticket will allow access to both games. Two for the price of one! Make sure you are stamped and the stamp stays on and you get both games.
Saturday marks the first time ever Vale has hosted both a boys’ and girls’ game in a double header in state action.
