NYSSA – The Vale girls’ basketball team pushed their Eastern Oregon League record to a perfect 9-0 with a 61-21 win over Nyssa on Tuesday, Feb. 11 in the Bulldog gym.
The Vikings put up double digit scoring three of the four quarters, cruising in the final eight minutes under the running clock “Mercy Rule”.
Elli Jacobs finished her night with 12 points, all coming from outside the three-point arc. Bella Johnson also had 12 points for the Vikings and Kesley Stepleton made it a triple showing after also finishing with 12 points.
Vale heads into the final game of the season, a trip to Burns on Saturday, Feb. 15, with a 21-1 overall record and ranked third in the official OSAA rankings.
