VALE – After officiating problems caused the cancelation of weekend games, the Vale girls’ basketball team finally took the floor for the first time on Tuesday, Dec. 6 to meet up with the Idaho Weiser Wolverines. Playing with a roster short with varsity experience and at times playing with three freshmen on the floor, Vale dropped a 27-40 opener to the Wolverines.

Junior Halle Peterson will pick up credit for the first points of the season for the Viks as she scored at the 7 minute, 17 second mark of the first quarter from under the glass to put Vale on the board.

Sophomore Bella Johnson led Vale with 11 points while freshman Kelsey Stepleton added 9 points. Junior Haylee Cleaver finished up her night with 5 points.
