The OSAA released its pre-season cross country poll and Union / Cove were picked as the pre-season favorite by the coaches in the 1A/2A. Heppner / Ione came in at 5th.
Baker was the only 4A team to receive votes from the east and finished just outside the top 10.
In 3A, Enterprise / Joseph / Wallowa and Burns were in the top 3 while Umatilla rounded out the top 10. Burns edged Enterprise / Joseph / Wallowa last year to claim the championship led by Emmett Klus.
