Union Boys Dominate Idaho Race (Full Results)

WEISER, ID – With individual finishes taking four of the top five slots, the Union boys cross country squad dominated the rest of the field in the running of the Weiser Invitational on Friday, Sept.2 at the Rolling Hills Golf Course.

Led by race winner, junior Eli Williams and his time of 17 minutes, 24.44 seconds, the Bobcats finished the day with 20 points. The other Oregon team with a team score, the Nyssa Bulldogs, placed sixth.

Union jerseys dominated the finish line with sophomore Nathaniel O’Reilly placing second and senior Taylor Fox picking up third. Rounding out the Union top five was freshman William Mallory in fifth.

Nyssa’s top finish went to junior Spencer Romans in 19th and for Vale, freshman Wyatt Cox placed 29th as the top Viking.

The Union girls finished third in the team standings and Vale picked up a fifth place showing.

Vale freshman Addie Saunders continues to impress, placing eighth as the top Vale finisher. Union freshman Angel Sheilds-Marrs barely missed a top 10 finish, crossing the line in 11th. An additional freshman, Nyssa’s Jazline Martin, was the top Bulldog finisher in 40th.

Easternoregonsports.com is again standing out from other media sources by listing all the runners from eastern Oregon schools in the cross-country competitions. First or 41st, all these runners made it to the finish line. There is only a single runner with the best time, but there are many more stories worth mentioning afterwards.
