It certainly took a while, but the 4A softball coaches have finally announced the 4A All-State selections for the recent season. As the names were announced, both Tiger teams of the Greater Oregon League saw familiar faces.
La Grande senior Kinzy Bowen completed her high school softball career receiving first team honors as an outfielder. Bowen was joined on the first team by La Grande freshman Carlee Strand, honored as a utility player.
Two Tiger pitchers found their names on the second team listing starting with La Grande senior Grace Neer. Ontario Tiger junior Annabelle Navarrete joined Neer on the pitchers’ list.
Ontario senior Samantha Ray also found a second team listing as a utility player.
Four additional Ontario players made the listing coming on the Honorable Mention heading. Freshman Chelsea McLean picked up her first high school softball award as an infielder and senior Kinsley Kimble wraps up her catching career on the list. Ontario senior soutfielder Hailee Pearson departs the softball field with an Honorable Mention listing as does senior Emilee Calderon as a pitcher.
