JOHN DAY – Bolstered by a state championship in softball, the Grant Union Prospectors finished the year fourth in the race for the Oregon School Activities Association (OSAA)’s Cup race.
The Cup is a culmination of a school’s activities with points assigned to participation and finishes in OSAA state championships and for top 10 finishes in the academic all-state program. Schools are also awarded points for having no ejections during the year.
In the 2A race, the Prospectors ended the year with 1800 points, a fourth place showing. Bandon took home the title after putting up 2495 points.
