After winning the 3A/2A/1A Special District 6 and a trip to the state quarterfinals, the McLoughlin boys soccer team capped off the season with seven players named to the all-state team.
The Pioneers were led by senior middle Danny Gonzalez picking up first team honors in his final year of high school soccer. His remaining teammates, senior forward Giovanny Sandoval, senior forward Michael Wolden, junior middle Adrian Camarena, sophomore middle Damian Castruita, junior defenseman Tucker Brunot and senior keeper Cristian Hernandez, all were named honorable mention.
For the Pirates of Riverside, junior middle Hugo Ceron will be back on the field after taking second team honors this season. Teammates senior forward Jonathan Lopez and senior middle Arturo Murguia were named honorable mention.
