After taking a state title, the McLoughlin players picked up six selections as the 3A/2A/1A All-State Boys Soccer Team was announced on Monday, Nov. 28.

Topping the list of Pioneers was mid-fielder and senior Angel Castillo being named player of the year. His coach, Jose Garcia, was named coach of the year after guiding MacHi to the state title.

Garcia is joined on the first team selection by teammates Geovanny Sandoval, a junior forward, senior midfielder Almikar Garcia and junior defender Danny Gonzalez.

MacHi senior midfielder Romario Garcia sits alone on the second team selections with junior Michael Wolden picking up honorable mention for his work as a forward.

The Nyssa Bulldogs found three players on the all-state team starting with senior forward Carlos Ramirez on second team. Joining him on second team was senior defender Victor Celedonio. Senior midfielder Erwin Trinidad was named honorable mention.

Riverside sophomore midfielder Hugo Ceron finds his name in the honorable mention category joining teammate and junior Jordan Castillo.

Lakeview/Paisley senior Carlos Arredondo received the nod for honorable mention for his goalkeeper work as did Umatilla senior Pedro Morfin.
