Oregon Teams Take Part In Bugtown Invite (Full Results For Enterprise, Union, Nyssa, Vale, Ontario)

MIDDLETON, ID – A host of Oregon cross country teams joined a large gathering of Idaho teams on the Purple Sage Golf Course in Middleton, Idaho for the Bugtown Invite on Thursday, Oct. 13.

For the boys, the Bobcats of Union placed sixth in the team standings with Enterprise grabbing the 15th slot. Vale finished the day in 21st followed immediately by Nyssa and Ontario.

Union senior Taylor Fox was the lone eastern Oregon runner to crack the top 10, placing ninth with a time of 16 minutes, 11.63 seconds. Just outside the top 10, Union junior Eli Williams was 12th followed by Vale junior Trevor Stewart in 13th.

The Enterprise girls had the best showing for eastern Oregon, picking up eighth in the team results while Union placed tenth. Vale placed 19th for the race.

The Outlaws saw freshman Owyhee Harguess for the top Oregon finish, placing 22nd and a time of 20:06.97. Adding to the showing of freshman was Vale’s Addie Saunders in 37th.

Easternoregonsports.com is again standing out from other media sources by listing all the runners from eastern Oregon schools in the cross-country competitions. First or 41st, all these runners made it to the finish line. There is only a single runner with the best time, but there are many more stories worth mentioning afterwards.
