ONTARIOOntario’s Annabelle Navarrete will start her senior season next spring on the Tiger’s softball field as the reigning Most Valuable Player as the GOL released the all-league selections. After the votes were counted from the coaches of the 4A Greater Oregon League, Navarrete claimed the title.

La Grande’s Cody Bowen, after coaching the Tigers to a 18-8 record and a semi-final playoff game was named Coach of the Year.

In addition to Navarrete, six Ontario players also made the listing of first and second team honorees. Coming off Bowen’s Tiger’s team, eight La Grande players show up on the list. The Baker Bulldogs saw seven player names on the all-league team while McLoughlin placed two players on the roster.

Nine players on the two-team listing will not be seen next season as they depart as seniors. On the other side of the coin, six freshman made the all-league in their first year of high school softball.
