WILSONVILLE – For Tiger (both) and Bulldog fans, say goodbye to the Pioneers and hello to the Buckaroos. The Greater Oregon League will again be four teams strong as Pendleton joins Baker, La Grande and Ontario starting next fall.
The move came after the Oregon Schools Activities Association Executive Board accepted the Classification Committee’s recommendations and approved the league for the next four years. The new leagues do not include football as a separate ad hoc committee is currently working on just that one sport.
Other schools making the switch down to 4A include Scappoose, St. Helens, Parkrose, Crook County, North Bend and the Dalles.
The following is the new 4A leagues along with the adjusted student population of each school. Under the new league designations, 4A populations range from 311 to 607 students.
