NYSSA – The hot bats continued for the Ontario Tiger softball team and combined with five Nyssa errors, Ontario only needed six innings to take care of the Bulldogs, 12-0 on Tuesday in Nyssa.
Ontario’s Emilee Calderon had a dream day, pitching the entire game, allowing no runs and striking out four Bulldogs. On the other side of the plate, Calderon led the Tigers with three RBIs. Mollie Maxwell and Sam Ray each added two additional RBIs for Ontario.

Lea Garner took the loss for Nyssa, going the entire game with five strikeouts, two walks and one hit pitch.
Nyssa head coach Tracy Cleaver gave credit to the Ontario bats, but also said the five errors by the Bulldogs contributed to the final score.
“Another better game than the numbers show, but Ontario definitely out-hit us today,” said Cleaver. “Our errors are still just too many, but tonight most were from being aggressive defensively and just missing. We continue to need to clean up the defensive side and we’re hoping to come in with intensity to our next league games this Friday.”
