Nyssa Boys Push Past Burns

NYSSA – The Nyssa Bulldogs found the weak spot of the Burns Hilanders-a press by the Dawgs resulted in numerous turnovers and a frustrated Hilanders team with the Bulldogs taking a 44-32 victory on Thursday, May 27 in Nyssa.

Jumping on the turnovers quickly, the Dawgs put the first points on the board off a steal and basket by Leonardo Barba. Nyssa had six points on the board before Burns found their first basket, a long three.

Nyssa had a ten-point lead at the end of the initial eight minutes, leading 15-5 and led by 11 at the half, 23-12.

The lead for the Bulldogs was 18 when the third quarter came to close, 35-17 and with the Nyssa bench players on the floor, the Dawgs closed out the home game.
