Not many changes in wrestling districts

WILSONVILLE – During an executive board meeting of the Oregon Schools Activities Association on Sept. 14, the board approved the leagues for the upcoming wrestling season.

No major changes from last season were seen as wrestling numbers remain stable throughout the state.

Currently, girls wrestling continues to be combined into 6A/5A/4A/3A/2A/1A and split into two divisions, north and south. A final decision on the districts will be completed after assessments are completed according to Brad Garrett, Assistant Executive Director of the OSAA. The start date for assessments is Dec. 14 and according to Garrett, the process will be completed by the end of December. At that time, the OSAA will release districts for girls wrestling.
