Playing in his final year as a Mustang, Crane senior Carter Nichols was named Player of the Year for the 1A High Desert West division for boys basketball.
Due to the size of the High Desert League, the divisions are split into east and west.
The Defensive Player of the Year will return as Crane’s Cody Siegner is only a junior.
The state champion Crane team was well represented on the all-league selections. In addition to Nichols and Siegner picking up the top awards, juniors Josh Zander and Joah Friedrichsen picked up first team all-league. In addition, Mustang junior Ross Clark was named to the second team.
The Panthers of Prairie City/Burnt River are led on the listing by two seniors on first team, Tucker Wright and Wes Voigt. Sophomore Sawyer Quinton joins the upperclassmen on the second team list.
Long Creek makes a statement, naming two players to the list. Junior Pun Leadsuk finds first team honors while Charles Kreamier is found on second team.
The combined team of Monument/Dayville also lists two players with seniors Wyatt Suchorski and Ethan Thompson both on second team.
