WHITMAN COLLEGE – Hermiston swimmer Eli Moon can pack his bags and prepare for the upcoming district meet after cutting five seconds off his previous best and meeting the qualifying time in the 500-yard freestyle competing at the Winter Invitational on Thursday, Jan. 2.

“The meet is a chance for swimmers to choose events to achieve best times more than overall team points,” said Hermiston coach Tammy Fisher. “We had a lot of guys aiming for district times.”

Fisher pointed out the accomplishments of Chris Godby and James Pihl for their efforts on the day.

Fisher said she continues to be impressed with the efforts of the new swimmers on the Bulldog team.
