ONTARIO – Spectators of the tennis showdown between the 4 Rivers Falcons and Idaho’s Payette Pirates should remember to bring pillows next time. When the two teams met on Friday, April 1, the last point in the match between Mia Clayton and Delia Pape was called at 10:30 pm after going three sets including a tie breaker. As the two teams headed home, the Pirates won the day, 7-5.
“It was a very well-balanced match between 4 Rivers and Payette,” said Falcons coach Trish Tank. “I have a very young team this season with some good leadership and I expect us to continue to grow over the next few weeks.”

4 Rivers did see success as the girl’s doubles swept the Pirates. In boy’s doubles action, Koda Alvarez and Keegan Maupin had a slow start, dropping the first three sets. The duo then won the next 12 games to pull out a win.
