La Grande Softball Remains Perfect With Home Wins Over Idaho Team

LA GRANDE – The La Grande softball team sits at a perfect 15-0 after sweeping two games on Saturday, April 12 over the visiting team from Lewiston, Idaho.

Game one was the thriller as La Grande held on for a 2-1 victory. Carlee Strand went the distance for the Tigers, allowing three hits while striking out 14 Idaho batters. La Grande was able to put together four hits for the game and only committed one error.

The second game of the day saw the Tiger bats come alive with 17 hits including a home run by Cassidy Hogge as La Grande wrapped up the day with a 17-7 victory in a shortened game. Kallyn Harnack faced 24 batters while allowing only five hits in the win.

The Tigers are back to 4A Greater Oregon League play on April 18 hosting Ontario for two games.
