Honkers Kick Off XX Season At Ranger Rick V

KLAMATH FALLS – The Lakeview cross country team kicked off the season running at Moore Park in Klamath Falls in the Ranger Rick V meet.

Running with only two boys on the team, Lakeview saw sophomore Ben Springer break into the top 20 with a time of 21 minutes, 35 seconds, 20^th in the field.

The Honkers did field a girls’ team, placing fourth in the team standings. Sophomore Emma Hablieb crossed the line in eighth, the top finish for Lakeview on the day. Halblieb ran the 5000 meters in 24:06.66. Just outside the top 10, senior Elizabeth Goeres placed 11^th with a time of 24:50.05.
