Hilander Girls Roll Over Vikings

VALE – Even without the services of Boise State University bound Allie Hueckman, the Burns girls’ basketball team had an easy time of it, downing the Lady Viks 57-22 on Friday, June 11 in Vale.

Vale was able to keep with Burns for the initial eight minutes of the game, ending the first quarter in a 7-7 tie. Burns then went on a scoring spree, putting up 20 points in the second quarter and holding Vale to a mere two points.

The Hilanders scoring did not stop in the second half, as Burns threw in 14 in the third quarter and ended the game with a 16-point fourth. Vale scored nine points in the third and finished with a 4-point fourth quarter.

Aundreya Ceja led all scorers with 14 points for Burns. Amanda Sanders finished with 12 points and Kaiden Raif had 9 points.
