Anderson clocked a time of 18 minutes, 28.5 seconds in the 5,000-meter course.
Athletes around the nation run a weekly race on the course of their choosing with the timed results then verified by a coach. The time is then forwarded to the Nike Virtual website for verification and posting.
Anderson has competed in the full seven weeks of the race, dropping his time over two minutes since week one. His best time in this season’s virtual competition is just one-half second slower than his best time last year, 18:28.0.
