ECHO – The wrestling squad from Hermiston finished the day the champions at the Oregon Trail County Championships on Wednesday, December 18 on the mats at Echo High School.
Hermiston wrestlers put up 211 points to outduel Pendleton at 202 points. The combined team of McLoughlin, Weston-McEwen and Griswold was third with 3A Irrigon placing fourth. The Riverside Pirates was the final team to come in above 100 points, scoring 103 while Heppner/Ione placed sixth. The host Echo/Stanfield team placed seventh.
