KENNEWICK – The Hermiston boys were just three points better than Kamiakin as the Mid Columbia Conference teams met for the second cross country race this season in Kennewick on Thursday, Oct. 17.
Led by a second place showing by freshman Leroy Lozano Mejia, the Bulldogs ended the day with 31 points while Kamiakin scored 34 points. Mejia posted a time of 14 minutes, 46.2 seconds over the three mile course.
The Bulldog girls grabbed fourth place in the team standings led by junior Maggie Meenderinck’s seventh place showing. Kamiakin was able to win the team title on the girls side with a 72-point total.
