We believe every student athlete putting the effort forth deserves recognition. The runner finishing 28^th did not work less than the runner crossing the tape in first. You will find every finisher in this article representing eastern Oregon schools. Yes, it is more work and yes, the article is long. SISTERS – The Grant Union boys track and field team saw only Summit with a larger point total as teams gathered in Sisters for the Sisters Invite on Wednesday, March 30.

Grant Union scored 80 points in their second-place finish while La Pine placed fourth with a score 70.5 points. The Hilander boys, with 35.5 points, placed seventh while Culver grabbed eighth and Sherman placed tenth.

The Burns girls picked up fifth place after compiling 42 points with Summit again taking top honors. La Pine followed the Hilanders in sixth and the Grant Union girls were seventh. Sherman and Culver were ninth and tenth, respectively.

The Grant Union boys were led by sophomore Landon Boyd and his win in the 300-meter hurdles and a time of 49.4 seconds.

For La Pine, senior Fabian Mossberg proved to be the quickest runner in the 200 meters, taking the line in 24.40 seconds.

In the 1500 meters, two of the quickest distance runners in the state met with La Pine’s Wyatt Montgomery outdueling Masson Shaw of Burns for the win. This will not be the final time these two meet as the district meet will feature both. Shaw came back in the 3000 meters for a win with Montgomery not in the race.

La Pine senior Stephen Machin dominated the rest of the field in both the shot put and discus events, taking the shot put event by over ten feet.
