NYSSA – Former Nyssa Bulldog John Bates has inked a deal with the Washington Football Team according to spotrac.com.
Bates was drafted by Washington May 1 and came to an agreement with the team on May 13, signing a 4-year deal worth $4,202,416. The amount includes $722,416 signing bonus, $722,416 in guaranteed money and an annual salary of $1,050,604. In 2021, Bates will earn a base salary of $660,000.
EOS congratulates Bates on coming to an agreement with Washington. Maybe he will have some pull in convincing Washington to come up with a real team name and mascot this upcoming fall.
