THE DALLES – Led by Kayden Smith’s score of 90 and third place in the individual standings, the Echo/Stanfield boys finished a day of golf action third in the team standings at the Dufur Invite on Friday, April 11 on the course at The Dalles Country Club.
The Cougar/Tiger team picked up three top 10 finishes. In addition to Smith, Israel Vargas picked up sixth after shooting 93 and Brayden Barnes shot a 96, good enough for ninth.
Wallowa/Joseph’s Shane Wenke also grabbed a top 10 at tenth while the Cougars/Cougar finished sixth in the team points.
The Enterprise team placed fourth in the results led by Nathan Lamb’s 106. Heppner/Ione grabbed sixth after John LIndays fired a 109, 19th in the individual placement.
Umatilla failed to qualify for a team score but saw Chase Williams putt his way to a score of 120. Host Dufur was led by Klayton Schanno’s 103, 16th in the individual standings. Pilot Rock/Ukiah was led by Landon Norton in 16th.
