CORVALLIS – The first day of action has been added up and here is where our eastern Oregon teams sit in state golf action. Round two tees off Tuesday, May 16.

4A Boys

  • Baker/Powder Valley looks headed towards a state title. The Bulldogs are +25, 15 strokes ahead of second place Molalla.
  • Pendleton/Griswold sit in ninth after shooting a +86 for the day.
  • Individually, Ontario’s Tyce Helmick is third, three shots out of the lead after firing a 73.
  • Baker/Powder Valley’s Isaiah Jones and Elias Long are tied for fourth with 74s.
  • Shooting a 79, Baker/Powder Valley’s Jaxon Logsdon is tied for 12th.
  • Kaden Conklin keeps the Bulldogs in the top 20 after an 82 is tied for 19th.
  • The Bulldogs’ Palmer Chandler is just outside the top 20 in 21st with a 83.
  • The top golfer for Pendleton/Griswold after day one is Mason Morioka, tied for 27th with a 86.
  • Tied for 32nd, Zach McLeod carded a 90 for the Buckaroos.
  • Sophomore Casey VanDorn comes in for Pendleton/Griswold at 38th with a 94 on the day.
  • After taking an even 100 on day one, the Buckaroos’ Carson Oyama is tied for 49th.
  • Pendleton/Griswold continues with Dakota Malin tied for 52nd after a 106.

3A/2A/1A Boys

  • After one day of action, La Pine sits in eighth, +60 over par.
  • Burns, Vale and Echo/Stanfield are bunched up at the bottom. Burns, +122, is tenth with Vale, +137 in 11th. Echo/Stanfield rounds out the action in 12th with a +175 over par.
  • Individually, La Pine’s AJ Johnson and Burns’ Coltin Miller leads the eastern Oregon golfers, both tied for 22nd after a 10-over 82.
  • Riverside’s Wyatt Browne comes in tied for 32nd after day one shooting 88, 16 over par.
  • Tied for 34th and +17, Prairie City’s Sawyer Quinton is preparing for day two.
  • Vale’s top golfer is Coy Scafffeld, tied for 40th with a +22 95 score.
  • La Pine’s Haakon Hanson joins Scaffled at 40th, also shooting a 95.
  • Vale freshman Jake Ross comes in at 45 with a +29.
  • Echo/Stanfield’s top finish of the day is Casey Carver in 46th.
  • After shooting +32, Burns senior Ben Johnson sits in 48th.
  • La Pine senior Daylan Petersen-Duran stays in the top 50 at 50th after firing a 106.
  • Joining his teammate Petersen-Duran, La Pine’s Cameon Demeree is 51st.
  • The Hilanders comes in at 53rd with Matthew Kaiser’s score of 110.
  • Burns and La Pine are tied at 54th with both Kempton Richardson and Brayden Keesee at +40.
  • Vale’s Dominic Bates sits 57th after carding a 113.
  • Tied for 58th is Echo/Stanfield’s Dax Davis and Vale’s Levi Justus.
  • The Cougars see sophomore Kayden Smith at 61st with a +118.
  • One spot behind, Vale’s Charlie Barrett played 18 holes with a score of 121.
  • The 63rd spot belongs to Burns Ryan Glascock with a +53.
  • Echo/Stanfield wraps up the field with 64th Mack Murdock and 65th Reece Ganvoa.

4A/3A/2A/1A Girls

  • Heading into day two, Dufur is only four strokes behind leader Crook County.
  • 20 strokes back, La Grande sits in fourth.
  • La Pine, with a +100, is sixth.
  • Dufur senior Tora Timinsky is one stroke behind leader Marist Catholic’s Esha Reddy in the individual scoring. Timinsky goes into day two at even par.
  • Dufur freshman Tygh Timinsky, at +11, sits in sixth.
  • One stroke back at seventh, La Pine’s Kylee Smith fired a 82.
  • La Pine’s Hailey Smith is just outside the top 10 at eleventh with a +17.
  • The top La Grande golfer is senior Maddison Holmes, tied for 12th.
  • With 91s, La Grande’s Marissa Lane and Dylann Justice are tied for 18th.
  • La Pine’s Jaidaa Crowley sits in 31st after shooting a 97.
  • Dufur is back in at 38th with senior Amelia DeArmond’s 103.
  • Also for Dufur, Allie Masterson’s 107 places her at 42nd.
  • La Grande’s Emma Bell’s +37 places her tied for 43rd.
  • La Pine’s Tess Shipman is tied for 49th after a 116-stroke day one.
  • Dufur’s Molly Cochenour starts the second day tied for 55th.
  • With a +59, La Grande’s Olese Forbes is 61st.
