Eastern Oregon commitments for October and November

There are several athletes from eastern Oregon that have recently committed to play at the next level.

Makenna Collins – Jr – Irrigon

Eastern Washington University – Volleyball

Collins, only a junior, committed to the Eagles of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. She was recently selected as the co-player of the year on the Eastern Oregon League all-league team.


Matthew McBride – Sr – Vale

Blue Mountain Community College – Baseball

McBride, a three letter athlete in football, basketball, and baseball committed to the Timberwolves of Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon. Recently named as a 1st team linebacker in the EOL, McBride excels in all the sports he plays. McBride has been selected to numerous all-league and all-state selections.

As a freshman McBride was selected as 2nd team catcher.

  • As a freshman was selected ad 2nd team all-league catcher.
  • As a sophomore 1st team all-league utility player, 2nd team all-league pitcher, 3A 3rd team all-state utility player.
  • As a junior he was selected as the EOL player of the year, 1st team all-league pitcher, 1st team all-league catcher, 3A 1st team all-state catcher.

Bailey Botefuhr – Sr – Irrigon

Mt. Hood Community College – Softball

Botefuhr has earned 1st team all league in-field honors as a sophomore and junior and now will play for Mt. Hood who has won 5 NWAC championships.
