As OSAA announced the 1A state volleyball bracket on Sunday, Oct. 23, a large number of eastern Oregon teams started making plans. Here is the rundown of the first round of play:
Imbler (17-12 overall and the 24th seed) is on the road on Wednesday, Oct. 24 versus Open Door Christian Academy (22-8 overall and the ninth seed). Game time is 4 p.m. and the match will be carried on the NFHS network.
Jordan Valley (7-10 overall and the 28th seed) is also on the road on Wednesday, Oct. 24 with a trip to Rogue Valley Adventist Academy (20-1 overall and the fifth seed). The first serve is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Also on the road on Wednesday, Oct. 26 is Joseph (14-13 overall and the 21st seed) making a trip to Trinity Lutheran (15-8 overall and the 12th seed) for a 6 p.m. start.
Adrian (12-8 overall and the 13th seed) will host Myrtle Point (12-8 overall and the 20th seed) with a 5 p.m. start on Wednesday, Oct. 26.
Spray/Mitchell/Wheeler (12-11 and the 29th seed) will be on the bus to North Clackamas Christian (28-5 overall and the fourth seed) for a Wednesday, Oct. 26 match starting at 6 p.m.
South Wasco County (22-6 and the 11th seed) will welcome Southwest Christian (14-9 overall and the 22nd seed) on Wednesday with the first serve coming at 5:30 p.m.
Ione/Arlington (19-5 overall and the 19th seed) will drop in at Central Christian (23-8 overall and the 14th seed) for a Wednesday, Oct. 26 match starting at 5:30 p.m. This matchup will be available on the NFHS network.
Powder Valley (22-7 overall and the sixth seed) will play host to Perrydale (12-10 overall and the 27th seed). The Old Oregon League champions open the match on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
The Panthers of Prairie City (22-7 overall and the 10th seed) welcomes Sherman (18-5 overall and the 23rd seed) to Prairie City on Wednesday, Oct. 27. The first serve will go up at 5 p.m.
High Desert League champion Crane (23-4 overall and the second seed) hosts Willamette Valley Christian (9-10 overall and the 31st seed) on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in the Crane gym. Start time is 5:30 p.m.
