Eastern Oregon 1A/2A Runners In Top 25 Of State

Most all of our small eastern Oregon cross country teams have a fair number of races in the record books. Easternoregonsports.com decided now was a good time to determine our runners versus the state’s best.

We looked at times for the entire state and where runners for eastern Oregon teams fall in the listing of the top 25 individual times. Boys are placed in the 1A/2A division while the girls are grouped in the 1A/2A/3A division.

1A/2A Boys

Heppner junior Trevor Nichols has the third best time in the state with a 16:26.8.

Directly behind Nichols in fourth is Weston-McEwen junior Alex McIntyre with a 16:48.8.

Union junior Taylor Fox holds down a sixth-place time with a 17:24.3.

Union closes out the top ten with sophomore Eli Williams in tenth with a time of 17:50.1.

Union continues on the list with freshman Nathanael O’Reilly at 14 with a time of 18:04.3.

Stanfield/Echo hit the listing with junior Jagjot Singh at 15 with a time of 18:10.0.

The Washington teams make an appearance at 17 with Bickleton junior Luke Binfet having a time of 18:19.9.

Heppner is again on the list with senior Ed Ellsworth at 19 with a time of 18:31.2.

The top 25 times closes out with Heppner senior Joseph Sherman at 24 with a time of 18:44.9.

1A/2A/3A Girls

The girls are led by Union senior Adrey Wells in eighth with a time of 20:52.6.

La Pine junior Ashley Jentzsch comes in at 20 with a time of 21:54.6.

Burns makes the list with senior Olivia Winn at 22 with a time of 22:00.0.
