Eagles’ Volleyball Leads 1A In Classroom

The Joseph volleyball team ended the season with the highest grade point average (GPA) per a release from the Oregon Schools Activities Association (OSAA).

As a team, the Eagles barely edged out county rival Wallowa, 3.94 versus 3.92. In a sweep of eastern Oregon teams, Crane claimed third with a 3.89 showing.

In a strong showing of eastern Oregon teams, Powder Valley claimed fifth (3.78 GPA), narrowly edging out Elgin’s 3.77 GPA. Griswold picked up ninth in the state and Huntington and Sherman tied for tenth.

Teams finishing the season above a 3.0 average include Pilot Rock/Ukiah, Union, Jordan Valley, Ione/Arlington, Echo, Imbler, Glenwood/Trout Lake/Klickitat and Adrian.
