Prairie City senior Rilee Emmel and Crane sophomore Kelsie Siegner were recently named as co-players of the year in the High Desert League volleyball all-league selections. The coach of the year was Crane’s Lindsay Robertson.
After winning the district tournament, Crane was knocked out in the state tournament play-in game, losing to Crosshill Christian 22-25, 25-23, 13-25, 25-16, 15-12. St. Paul would go on to win the 1A state volleyball championship by beating Powder Valley in three sets.
