ADRIAN – Prior to taking the court in Adrian on Thursday, May 28, the last time the Crane girls basketball team had been together on the court was March 7, 2020. At that time, the Crane took a 45-41 victory over St. Paul in the championship game of the 1A playoffs.

Even with a few juniors not playing this short season, it appears the Mustangs have lost little. Facing Adrian, Crane easily walked away with a 52-16 victory.
The first game back for both teams was a full 4 seconds started when Leslie Doman dropped the first bucket for the Mustangs. A short jumper by the Lopes tied up the score at 2 to 2, the closest Adrian would get to a lead.
The Mustangs led at the end of the first quarter, 12-4 and extended that lead to 33-7 at the half. Even without starters in the game, the Mustangs led 46-11 at the end of three and easily took their first win of the season and extended their winning streak to 32 games. The last time Crane found themselves behind on the scoreboard at the end of a game was Feb. 28, 2019, a 44-46 loss to Powder Valley.
