The recently crowned state champion Crane girls’ basketball team dominated the recently released 1A High Desert All-League selections for the west division.
Due to the size of the High Desert League, all-league is split into two divisions.
Adding to her numerous awards, Crane senior Kourtney Doman ends her senior season as the Player of Year. Starting her high school basketball career, Crane freshman Kaitlyn Siegner picks up Defensive Player of the Year.
With the exception of one player, first team awards were all Mustangs. Sophomore Ava Bowen, freshman Taya Nelson and juniors Shayn Miller and Elaia Idoeta all represented Crane on the first team. The lone player to break the Mustang cycle for first team is Prairie City/Burnt River senior Brooke Teel.
The Panthers picked up two additional players on second team with senior Jaycee Winegar and junior Reece Jacobs. Crane freshman Kamyrn Dunten added an additional Mustang to the honors after receiving second team recognition.
Dayville/Monument saw two Tigers on second team, senior Jasmine Athens and junior Sierra May.
