Now, months later, these same two teams dominate the 1A State Boys All-State selections.

The Redsides and Mustangs each placed three players on the list, including South Wasco County senior Oscar Thomas named Player of the Year.

Crane Coach Eric Nichols received Coach of the Year honors after bringing the Mustangs their first ever state title in boys’ basketball.

In addition to Thomas, South Wasco County found senior Brock LaFaver named to the third team and senior Ian Yongers on the honorable mention listing.

Crane freshman Cody Siegner received first team honors and senior Mitch Clark found his name on the second team. Senior Ty Taylor was placed on the honorable mention listing.

In addition to Crane and South Wasco County, numerous other eastern Oregon individuals were recognized for their accomplishments.

Powder Valley senior Reece Dixon departs high school play with a first team selection. Likewise, Condon senior Eduardo Barrera departs with a second team selection.
