VALE – The 3A football coaches from around the state have voted and the Vale Vikings find six players named to the All-State team.
Starting on the offensive side of the ball, Viking senior Eli Aldred ended his Vale career with a second team selection as running back.
Joining Aldred on second team was senior Owen Crane as tight end. Crane upped that to first team on the defensive team, chosen the top tier as linebacker.
Vale sophomore Gino Longoni was chosen honorable mention for his work on the offensive line.
Moving to defense, Viking sophomore Jake Devos was picked by the state’s coaches as second team offensive line.
For his work as linebacker, junior Colten Stepleton was chosen honorable mention.
Brooks Haueter will enter his senior year next season as a first team defensive back selection.
The Vikings played to a 7-3 overall record, falling in the quarterfinals to Kennedy, 12-14.
Cascade Christian picked up Defensive Player of the Year (Cole Shields), Offensive Player of the Year (Kameron Rague), Lineman of the Year (Jaxon Turituri) and Coach of the Year (Jon Gettman).
