Baker senior quarterback Paul Hobson and Pendleton senior linebacker Karsten Bracher stared at each other from opposite sides of the ball more than once over the course of their high school careers. Now both find themselves named as player of the year as the 4A Special District 5 released their selections for all league.
Hobson picked up the offensive player of the year award while Bracher was the defensive player of the year after voting by the league’s coaches. Baker coach Jason Ramos was chosen coach of the year.
