Bulldogs and Lopes attend Gib Floyd Classic

KUNA – Going up against some of the larger schools in Idaho, the cross country teams from Nyssa and Adrian made the trip on Saturday to the Kuna Turf Farm to compete in the Gib Floyd Classic.

Due to participant numbers, only the Nyssa boys qualified for a team score, placing ninth. Leading the Bulldog team was senior Myo Castro, placing 30th in the crowded field with a time of 17 minutes, 21.43 seconds. Just seven spots behind was Adrian sophomore Chase Johnston, crossing the line in 17:42.90 representing the Lopes.

Competing against many of the top runners from Idaho, Nyssa senior Olivia Page finished 11th with a time of 20:37.29. The top finisher for the Antelopes in the Gib Floyd was sophomore Isabel Yost. Yost finished in 23:28.71.
