The Pendleton and La Grande softball teams battled at the top of the 4A Greater Oregon League standings throughout the year, splitting the four games played against each other. It is no surprise the two teams also battled when the league coaches met to decide on the All-League nominations.
Two seniors, one from each squad, led the way with Tiger senior Martin Anderson picking up the Player of the Year award. Senior Buckaroo pitcher Kendall Murphy was named Pitcher of the Year. As voted upon by his peers, La Grande coach Walt Anderson was chosen as Coach of the Year.
Pendleton found five players named to first team including senior Josie Jenness, junior Maryn Broker, senior Ella Sams, senior Madelyn Lieuallen, and senior Reese Furstenberg.
La Grande also named Five players to first team honors with senior Carlee Strand, junior Peyton Daggett, junior Madison Seavert, senior Paige Allen and junior Cassidy Dodge making the listing.
Baker/Powder Valley/Pine Eagle entered the list with second team honorees including sophomore Macey Morgan, sophomore Colbi Bachman, senior Oakley Anderson, sophomore Maylee Martin, junior Raegan Gulick and junior Reagan Ritter. Ontario also found their first names on the list as senior Chelsey Mclean and sophomore Khianna Stone Mendez were placed on second team. Pendleton added to their list with second team players junior Katelyn Boatman, junior Avery Quaempts and La Grande added Kallyn Harnack.
Ontario had the lone freshman to the all-league with Lili Owings making honorable mention. The honorable mention list includes La Grande juniors Joselyn Dodds and Kallyn Harnack and Pendleton sophomore Kelsi Primus. Baker/Powder Valley/Pine Eagle sophomores Kate Nilson and Jaxyn Ramos also made honorable mention.
