SELAH, WA – Small but mighty, the Bickleton cross country team joined a host of other schools for a two-mile race at the Selah Halftime on Friday, Sept. 2.
The top finish for the Pirate boys went to sophomore Joshua Gifford, placing 26th with a time of 13 minutes, 12 seconds. The lone female Pirate runner, sophomore Grace Binfet crossed the line in 29th with a time of 17:15.
Easternoregonsports.com is again standing out from other media sources by listing all the runners from eastern Oregon schools in the cross-country competitions. First or 41st, all these runners made it to the finish line. There is only a single runner with the best time, but there are many more stories worth mentioning afterwards.
