Four Rivers senior Leah Benson closed out the soccer season with the most goals scored in the state. With this impressive offensive showing, it was not much of a stretch to name the Falcon player the Most Valuable Player for the 3A/2A/1A Special District 5 after voting by the district coaches.
The district champion Falcons dominated the awards with Benson joined by teammate Olivia Chavez named as Goalie of the Year. Four Rivers coach Marcus Zacarias was voted by his peers as Coach of the Year.
Six Falcons picked up first team honors with Echo/Stanfield naming three players to the first team. The Pioneers of McLoughlin named two players to the first team and Riverside picked up a single player for the top honors.
