Four Rivers senior forward Leah Benson led the state in scoring for the recent girls’ soccer season. After scoring more than any other player in the state, Benson gained first team honors as the 3A/2A/1A all-state girls soccer squad was announced.
Benson was just one of six Falcons found on the listing, but the lone first team player. In addition to Benson, senior middle Kayla Vera, senior defensive player Adriana Chavez, senior middle Abby Nunez, junior defensive player Ariel Martine and senior keeper Olivia Chavez all were named honorable mention.
Stanfield/Echo also had multiple players on the list starting with junior defensive player Emily Rose on second team. Sophomore forward Shelby Blanchet and junior middle Kiera Sharp picked up honorable mention.
McLoughlin senior forward Rylee Hendon was also found on second team, the lone Pioneer voted on the team.
Trout Lake keeper Violette Anderson departs high school soccer with second team honors. Also playing her final time on the field, Lakeview senior keeper Nadine Mendias was named to honorable mention.
