Baker, Crane, Wallowa Return From Clay Nationals

MASON, MICHIGAN – High school clay shooters from around the nation gathered in Mason, Michigan to compete in the US High School Clay Target National Championship. The shoot included teams from eastern Oregon.

Representing 232 teams and over 1,500 shooters, the Mustangs of Crane Union placed 151st in the team standings.

Crane was led by Evan Marten’s 41st-place showing, missing only four targets of 200 clays over two days. Just five missed clays back, Preston Van Nice placed 222nd with a score of 191.

Baker’s lone shooter, Christopher Schuh scored a 193 for the two days, good enough for 146th.

One spot behind Schuh was the top finisher for Wallowa, Cash Tanzey in 147th. Lane Tanzey wrapped up the tournament in 244th.
