BAKER – The parking lot of Baker High School will be filled with buses as teams arrive Friday, Oct. 25 to kick off the 1A Old Oregon League volleyball tournament.
The top four teams from the tournament will receive an automatic invitation to the upcoming 1A state championship with the remaining Old Oregon teams needing to wait until late Saturday, Oct. 26 to check for an at-large bid. Eight teams from around the state will pick up a late night surprise with an at-large invitation from the OSAA.
The Old Oregon League will kick off action on Friday, Oct. 25 with action running on two courts.

Game 1: West Court 3:00 #3 Echo (7-10 overall, 6-4 Old Oregon League) versus #4 Joseph (8-14 overall, 4-6 Old Oregon League)
In their lone match this season way back on Sept. 6, the Eagles prevailed over the Cougars, 3-0.
Game 2: East Court 3:00 #3 Elgin (12-8 overall, 6-4 Old Oregon League) versus #4 Pilot Rock (7-15 overall, 4-6 Old Oregon League)
Playing at Griswold on Sept. 28, the Huskies took care of business over the Rockets, winning 3-0.
Game 3: West Court 5:00 #2 Powder Valley (21-6 overall, 9-1 Old Oregon League) vs Winner Game 1
The Badgers start action facing the winner of Echo/Joseph. Powder Valley is one of three teams at the top of the league standings and are ranked seventh in the state standings.
Game 4: East Court 5:00 #2 Cove (22-8 overall, 8-2 Old Oregon League) vs Winner Game 2
The Leopards start the tournament on a two-game win streak and are ranked 14th according to the latest OSAA update of state teams.

Game 5: West Court 12:00 #1 Imbler (24-7 overall, 9-1 Old Oregon League) vs Winner Game 3
Imbler is the second team with a 9-1 league showing and are ranked fifth in the state. The Panthers have won the last nine times on the court.
Game 6: East Court 12:00 #1 Union (19-5 overall, 9-2 Old Oregon League) vs Winner Game 4
The Prospectors are the third team in the league with a 9-1 Old Oregon record and are ranked second in the state. Union comes off a nonleague loss to top ranked Crane on Tuesday, Oct. 22.
